Quilts

These are just a few of my quilts.  I don't think I've kept more than 1 or 2 of any quilt I've ever made.  I usually make them as gifts.  Here's a Mary Lou Weidman Block of the month from TEN years ago.  Do you think I can get it done by this Christmas?  Yikes!  Talk about procrastinating.

I made this little one this year for my youngest brother who was graduating from college.

This was for my niece who is now 6!  I made it to go along with the quilt I made for her parents when they got married 8 years ago.

This was my first attempt at a Story Quilt.  My brother and his fiance were big into surfing.  It is the story of how they got engaged.  He put her ring in a treasure chest that he buried in the sand early that morning.  He had a friend a few hundred feet away video taping and keeping watch to make sure no one else dug up the treasure chest.

It's hard to see, but I quilted in Will you Marry Me and sewed on a mock diamond ring.

This was the label on the back of the quilt.  Sorry it's sideways. the picture is from when they actually got engaged.  Can't figure out how to rotate it...Blonde.

This is one I made for my son's first grade teacher.  I was invited to her very swanky birthday party.  We had a blast.  It was at the Mission Inn in Riverside.  If you are ever in Riverside you MUST go to brunch there.  Yummo!
anyhoo...sadly, those are the only ones I have pictures of.  I will do better going forward!  Promise.
